The Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality, and Enlightenment was established in 2023. Based on its responsibilities, the department organizes spiritual and educational events at the university aimed at nurturing students in the spirit of deep devotion to the ideals of national independence, love for the Motherland, and commitment to the noble goal of building a free and prosperous country. It also aims to instill courage and dedication in students. Furthermore, the department organizes and coordinates various scientific, creative, and artistic circles and clubs to help talented students realize their knowledge and potential.
In addition, the department oversees the organization of spiritual and educational activities in student dormitories and monitors the spiritual and educational environment of the university’s Information Resource Center. In fulfilling its tasks, the department closely cooperates with the university’s public organizations.
The Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality, and Enlightenment implements a long-term, wide-ranging spiritual and moral education program aimed at promoting human rights and dignity, establishing democratic principles based on national and universal values among the university community—especially the youth—and raising physically healthy, intellectually mature, broad-minded, and independently thinking young people.
Main Goal of the Department
The main goal of the department is to nurture students in the spirit of loyalty to national and universal values, to broaden their spiritual and aesthetic worldview, to elevate their thinking, to protect them from the negative influences of various forms of “mass culture,” to guide them away from such influences, and to foster their development as true patriots and devoted citizens of an independent Uzbekistan.
Main Tasks of the Department:
– Serve as the main liaison between the university and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) as well as the youth affairs, spirituality, and enlightenment departments of other higher education institutions in all relevant processes;
– Systematically organize propaganda and awareness-raising activities related to the country’s ongoing social, economic, and spiritual-educational initiatives for university staff and students;
– Ensure active participation of students in spiritual and educational events and competitions held nationwide;
– Organize roundtable discussions, meetings, and cultural events in cooperation with various specialists, state and public organizations, and prominent figures, with the aim of fostering moral, aesthetic, political, legal, and noble qualities among students, and strengthening their ideological immunity against external threats;
– Systematically organize spiritual, educational, and moral activities to nurture youth in the spirit of kindness, humanity, and respect for national traditions and values;
– In cooperation with faculties, plan and implement activities to develop students’ mental and physical abilities;
– Support and encourage talented and gifted students
– Define the university’s spiritual and moral educational activities and develop the necessary regulatory documents for their implementation;
– Organize spiritual and educational activities across the university.
