A journey through history

On October 16 of this year, as part of the university’s cultural and educational events, an excursion to the “Tashkent Museum” in Tashkent city was organized for students. The purpose of the excursion was to enhance students’ interest in the history of our Motherland, national values, and cultural heritage, to elevate their spiritual awareness, and to provide them with a deeper understanding of Tashkent’s ancient history. Students visited the “Tashkent Museum” located in the Alley of Writers and became acquainted with its rich exhibitions. The museum presented displays about Tashkent’s 2,200-year history, the city’s earliest settlements, archaeological findings, and exhibits related to applied arts and culture.

On the first floor, expositions titled “Tashkent – the Center of Science and Knowledge,” “Tashkent – the City of Tolerance,” and “Applied Art: Daily Life and Culture” were organized. The second floor showcased ancient tools, household items, and models of historical sites. The exhibits were accompanied by descriptions in Uzbek, Russian, and English. Additional information was provided through monitors, info-kiosks, and other technological means. During the excursion, museum staff provided students with detailed explanations and organized an interactive Q&A session. The students broadened their knowledge about the history and cultural heritage of our country.

The event was held at a high level and in a cheerful atmosphere. This historical site, reflecting the rich past of our nation, left a lasting and warm impression on all participants.
